John Rubenstein, MD, Phd is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California San Francisco. He also serves as a Nina Ireland Distinguished Professor in Child Psychiatry at the Nina Ireland Laboratory of Developmental Neurobiology. His research focuses on the regulatory genes that orchestrate development of the forebrain. In the mammalian embryo, the forebrain is the portion of the neural tube where primitive cells are organized to form the cerebral cortex, the basal ganglia and other components of the adult brain -- the structures of the human brain most involved in key functions such as speech, language, cognition and fine motor skills. Rubenstein's lab has demonstrated the role of specific genes in regulating neuronal specification, differentiation, migration and axon growth during embryonic development and on through adult life. His work may help to explain some of the mechanisms underlying human neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism.

Bradley Theodore Hyman is currently John B. Penney, Jr. Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Massachusetts Alzheimer Disease Research Center and Memory Disorder Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital.[1] He was educated at Northwestern University (BA Chemistry, 1977) and the University of Iowa (PhD; MD). He was awarded the Metlife Foundation Award for Medical Research in Alzheimer's Disease in 2001[2] and the Potamkin Prize in 2006, together with Karen Duff and Karen Ashe.

Paul Thompson is a Professor in the Keck School of Medicine of USC. His team’s research projects focus on the neuroscience, mathematics, computer science, software engineering and clinical aspects of neuroimaging and brain mapping. Honored with the 2023 Pioneer in Medicine Award of the Society of Brain Mapping and Therapeutics, and the U.S. Alzheimer Association’s Zenith Award, Paul Thompson directs the ENIGMA Consortium, a global alliance of 2500 scientists in 47 countries who conduct the largest studies of 30 major brain diseases – ranging from Parkinson’s disease, anorexia, schizophrenia, depression, ADHD, bipolar illness and OCD, to HIV and addictions and their effects in the brain. ENIGMA’s genomic screens of over 70,000 people’s brain scans and genome-wide data (published in Nature Genetics, 2012; Nature, 2015; Science, 2020) have brought together experts from 300 institutions to unearth over 500 genetic variants that affect brain structure, disease risk, and brain connectivity. At USC, Dr. Thompson is a Professor of Neurology, Psychiatry, Radiology, Pediatrics, Engineering, and Ophthalmology, and Director of the ENIGMA Center for Worldwide Medicine, Imaging & Genomics – a $11M NIH Center of Excellence in Big Data Computing.

Sergei M. Danilov, MD completed his PhD and postdoctoral studies from the National Cardiology Research Center, Moscow, Russia. He is the Principal Investigator and Head of the laboratory of ACE biology in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care, (Department of Medicine in the University of Illinois at Chicago). His laboratory developed more than 40 mAbs to ACE. He has published more than 200 papers on ACE biology and ACE immmunochemistry in highly respected journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of Biomedicines.

Dr. Jingsen Ma is the Vice President at Dynaflow, Inc (DFI), a leading research company specializing in multiphase flow and cavitation. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007, conducting postdoctoral research on air-entrained naval flows modeling at RPI until 2010. With extensive experience in computational multiphase fluid dynamics, his expertise spans various industries, including oil & gas, marine, and biomedical sectors. Dr. Ma is a renowned expert in multi-scale modeling of cavitating flows, particularly in Microbubble-amplified Focused Ultrasound (MBaFUS) applications, earning DFI prestigious awards from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) such as the CFD Best Paper (2020), Multiphase Flow Best Paper (2021), and the Knapp Award (2022), and Innovation Award at the 2023 TechConnect World Innovation Challenge. Apart from his research, Dr. Ma is actively engaged in academic and engineering communities. He founded and leads ASME's Forum on Multiphase Flows with Bio-applications and served as the Outstanding Track Organizer of FEDSM2018. He also held positions as the Chair of the CFD Technical Committee (TC) and Vice-Chair of the Multiphase Flow TC of ASME. Currently, Dr. Ma's primary focus is seeking investment and developing joint proposals to accelerate the clinical translation and commercialization of DFI's MBaFUS—a Virtual Lab and TPS for noninvasive ablation and targeted drug delivery solutions for diseases like brain tumors, PD and AD. He is Vice-Chair of the Multiphase Flow TC of ASME.
