Clinical Professor of Infectious Diseases at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and a staff physician in Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at Surrey Memorial Hospital. With over 28 years of experience, he combines clinical care, medical education, and mentorship. Since 2014, he has led the ambulatory teaching curriculum at UBC’s Surrey Campus, supporting undergraduate and postgraduate education and faculty development. His academic interests include tropical medicine, antimicrobial resistance and stewardship, sepsis, and emerging pathogens. A green energy advocate, he researches climate change, high global greenhouse gas emissions, and their downstream effects on human health, including their potential contributions to increasing disease burdens and antimicrobial resistance worldwide, through a One Health perspective. Repeatedly recognized for teaching excellence, he integrates clinical reasoning, microbiology, public health, and global medicine, emphasizing patient-centred care, practical decision-making, and collaboration while preparing physicians to address interconnected clinical and planetary health challenges.

Prof. Blobel studied Mathematics, Technical Cybernetics and Electronics, Theoretical Physics, Biocybernetics, Informatics, and Medicine at different universities in East Germany. He received the PhD degree in Physics, a habilitation in Medicine, and a habilitation in Medical Informatics. He was Head of the Physical Laboratory in Environmental Medicine at the Medical University Magdeburg and thereafter Head of the Medical Informatics Department and then Director of the Institute For Biometrics and Medical Informatics at the Medical Faculty of the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg. In 2004, he became Founder and Head of the Health Telematics Project Group at Fraunhofer Society, Institute of Integrated Circuits (IIS), Erlangen, and thereafter Head of the German National eHealth Competence Center (eHCC) at the University of Regensburg. He is author of more than 500 scientific publications.

David Wortley is CEO & Founder of 360 in 360 Immersive Experiences and a VP of the International Society of Digital Medicine (ISDM). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Commerce and a global thought leader and innovator on enabling technologies for health, education and the environment. He is on the editorial board of the Digital Medicine Journal. He is an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Medicine and a Visiting Fellow at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at Bournemouth University.

Kenneth R. Pelletier, PhD, MD is a Clinical Professor of Medicine, Department of Medicine; Department of Family and Community Medicine and Department of Psychiatry at the University of California School of Medicine, San Francisco (UCSF). At the UCSF School of Medicine, he is Director of theCorporate Health Improvement Program (CHIP) which is a research program between CHIP and 15 of the Fortune 500 corporations including Apple, Cisco, American Airlines, IBM, Dow, Prudential, Cummins, Ford, NASA, and Pepsico. He also serves as a Vice President with American Specialty Health (ASH).

Yann A. Meunier, MD is a Global Health Expert and Pioneer based in Silicon Valley, California. He has a multifaceted background in healthcare provision, business, academia, and research. He has worked as a Chief Medical Officer, Physician, Health Promotion Manager, CEO, C-suite Executive, Director of International Corporate Affairs and Business Development, Mentor, Professor, Assistant Professor, Adjunct Assistant Professor, and Healthcare Consultant in various countries and settings worldwide. He is an Honorary Member of the Brazilian National Academy of Medicine, an Associate Member of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, a Fellow of the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Trustees, and a Member of the International Academy of Fellows and Associates, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Canada. He has published many books, articles, posts, blogs, webinars, videos, conducted seminars on global and public health topics and created a podcast series called “Reinventing Global Health.” He is passionate about improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities around the world.Overall, Dr. Meunier offers a unique perspective on global health including specific insights giving him the ability to frame and tackle very challenging healthcare issues successfully.

Dr. Céline Tiffon is a medical writing consultant in Medical Affairs for the biopharmaceutical industry and an independent researcher based in France. She earned her Ph.D. in tumor biology in 2008 and went on to complete postdoctoral research in the UK and France. Certified in clinical research and regulatory medical writing, she brings deep expertise in oncology, epigenetics, inflammation, and cell differentiation. Dr. Tiffon has authored 25 papers, including five key articles, a book based on her thesis, and several book chapters. She remains active in the scientific community, regularly reviewing manuscripts for journals and presenting her research at international conferences

Keiran Bellis is a Lecturer and Course Leader for the BSc Paramedicine programme at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, where he leads curriculum design and strategic development across paramedic education, with operational responsibility for interprofessional learning and practice-based education. A Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered paramedic, Keiran brings over two decades of frontline experience in pre-hospital and emergency care, including roles within Ambulance Services across the United Kingdom and extensive clinical work across emergency departments, forensic settings, and major incident event medicine throughout the UK. His clinical practice continues alongside his academic role, ensuring a strong linkage between real-world healthcare delivery and higher education. Keiran’s academic interests sit at the intersection of clinical decision-making, ethics, law, and mental health in emergency care. He is currently undertaking a PhD in Professional Practice exploring paramedics’ confidence in assessing mental capacity in patients presenting with suicidal ideation, an area of growing importance for public health, patient autonomy, and safeguarding. In addition to this Keiran has presented in the fields of epidemiology and wider public health issues within urgent, emergency, and unscheduled care. Keiran is an active contributor to national and international academic and professional forums, presenting on topics such as mental capacity, remote triage, and clinical decision-making in emergency settings. He also serves as an external examiner for paramedic programmes and as a peer reviewer for specialist paramedic academic journals, supporting the advancement of evidence-based practice and educational standards. He is a member of the Royal College of Paramedics, the Institute of Medical Ethics, and the European Society for Philosophy of Medicine and Healthcare, reflecting his sustained commitment to advancing ethical, patient-centred care within paramedicine and broader health systems.

Associate Professor Syeda Zakia Hossain (PhD) is a Health Sociologist and Demographer in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. A recipient of the AusAID and Rockefeller Foundation Fellowships, she obtained her BSc Honours and a Master's from Dhaka University, a Master's from Australian National University and a PhD from the University of Queensland, Australia. Her research focuses on women’s health and wellbeing, reproductive health, migrant and refugee health, domestic and family violence, teenage pregnancy, chronic diseases, and cross cultural health inequalities across South Asian and Middle Eastern contexts. She teaches and publishes in the areas of Health Sociology, Health and Globalisation, International Health, and Chronic Diseases. A/Professor Hossain has presented her work at major international forums, including the Global Health Conference (Washington, DC), the World Congress of Gerontology, the World Congress of Sociology, and APSA and TASA conferences. Her research is widely published in international peer reviewed journals.
